Why should there be a gap before and after the intake of the medicine ?
You have to keep the medicine on the tongue so that it comes in contact with the nerves. That is the reason why we say not to eat anything half an hour before or after. So that the tongue has nothing else that will interfere with the absorption of the medicine.

My medicines in globules seem to get dry after opening them. Does this affect their efficacy?
No. The Clinic usually puts generous amounts of the liquid with the globules. The globules are moist and some free liquid is also seen in the vials in the beginning. The liquid gets absorbed by the globules and some of it evaporates. This does not effect the efficacy of the medicines

My medicine is in a vial with a dropper on top. How do I take it?
If the medicine that you have got from the Clinic are fitted with a dropper on the top and is a CLEAR liquid then 4 drops of the liquid in the vials mixed with 2 teaspoons of water or 1 table spoon of water is considered as one dose. The water may be potable water at room temperature.
If the liquid inside the vials with droppers is colored (is a mother tincture) then 8 drops of the liquid mixed with 2 teaspoons of water or 1 table spoon of water makes one dose. The water may be potable water at room temperature.
Alternatively the medicines may be taken directly on the tongue. The number of drops stay 4 (for clear liquids) and 8 for colored liquids (mother tinctures).
My medicines are in liquid form and have no droppers on the top. How do I take these medicines?
These medicines are already prepared for usage. Take one cap full at a time, as one dose.
How long can I store my homeopathic medicines?
The medicines in globules and in the droppers, when stored in a cool, dry place, away from strong odours and direct sunlight, have an expiration date of one years after the date of dispensation, as per the regulatory recommendations. If you are medicines are in liquid form and do not have a dropper on top, then it is recommended that they be used or discarded within 15 days of dispensation from the Clinic.

The refrigerator may not be the best place to store them as a lot of strong odors from the food may be trapped inside.The patient is under parenteral nutrition or is unable to take any solid or liquid food through the mouth.
How do I administer the medicines to this patient?
In such cases the medicines are given in droppers from the Clinic. Mix 4 drops of the medicine with 2 teaspoons of water or one table spoon of water and administer it through the Ryle’s Tube or Naso Gastric Tube or Percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG) Tube.
If there is no such tube or this isn’t possible, then administer two drops of the medicine (whether the liquid is clear or colored) directly onto the tongue or the inside of the lower lip of the patient.
Occasionally it is recommended that BOTH these things be done, that is, administer two drops of the liquid medicine on tongue or lower lip AND administer the liquid medicines with water through the tube used for nutrition. Confirm with the Clinic if this is recommended in the case of the patient that you are caring for.
What kind of time gap should there be between eating or drinking anything and my medicine?
Ideally a gap of half an hour between consuming the homeopathic medicine and eating or drinking anything is recommended. However, a gap of 15-20 minutes is adequate. Brushing your teeth is also to be done at least 20 minutes after (preferred) or before consuming your medicine. Do not drink water immediately after consuming the homeopathic medicine.

What should I avoid eating or drinking when I am on homeopathic treatment?
Avoid consuming excessively sour food or beverages. Moderate sour flavor is alright. Also avoid the consumption of raw onions and garlic. Very strong flavors of any kind that linger in your mouth interfere with the action of homeopathic medicines. Two-three cups of coffee are allowed. Constant or repeated consumption of any food or beverage which results in lasting flavors in your mouth will interfere with the action of the homeopathic medicine.
