Asthma

Asthma is a disease caused in the airway of human body which makes breathing difficult. The inflammation of the air passages result decreases the flow of oxygen to the lungs whereby the patient coughs continuously, may experience wheezing and inability to breathe normally. It begins in childhood. Early diagnosis can help treatment. It depends on case to case basis and classified according to the

symptoms. It has been reported that there has been more than 5 lakh deaths throughout the world due to Asthma. Inadequate treatment limits the patients to be active and can affect the patient’s performance at work and home.

Causes:

Among the prominent causes, genetics is one of the main causes. Person suffering from bronchiolitis lung infection during childhood are also prone to asthma. It can also develop at work wherein the person is exposed to such conditions, drugs or chemicals.

Symptoms:

The popular symptoms of asthma are continuous coughing, wheezing and breathlessness. Even fatigue and rapid breathing can also be considered as symptoms of asthma. Chronic bronchitis is a long term illness and can be result of environmental factors or extended illness. It has a tendency to keep coming back or doesn’t go away at all. Cigarette smoking is the most common cause of chronic bronchitis.

Causes:

Generally it is caused due to the same virus or bacteria, that causes cold or flu. It could happen when the immune systems in the body are weak. Smoking is also considered to be one of the causes. At times even the working environment instigates.


Symptoms:

Nagging cough with lot of mucus, chest congestion are some of the common symptoms in the case of Bronchitis. There may also be raised temperature.
